The in principle position of FROBO is that Bannockburn Oval is a community facility, which should not provide monopoly use of it but, rather, there should continue to be shared usage for a range of recreation, both formal and informal as well as passive use by the community as public space. FROBO also supports the environment of the area eg protection of the Blue Gum High Forest and the wildlife corridors which it provides.

REDEVELOPMENT OF BANNOCKBURN OVAL BACK ON COUNCIL AGENDA !!
Recommendation by Council staff at the Council Meeting on 14-Dec-10 in
KMC Proposal for The Glade Sportsground Report (pp190-200 in PDF) on KMC website is:
"That Council determine that Bannockburn Oval is the preferred location for an all-weather synthetic athletics facility in Ku-ring-gai, and that Council approach Abbotsleigh and Knox and any other interested parties, including Ku-ring-gai Little Athletics Centre, to ascertain their level of interest in making a financial contribution to the facility."
